Community Shares' April heroes give kids a strong start, serve rape victims
Community Shares, a partner of Madison Commons, recognizes two volunteers each month. The volunteers come from Community Shares' member groups and are selected for their service to the community and to community issues.
Romina Pereira Melo, Nuestro Mundo Inc.
began volunteering at Nuestro Mundo Community School (NMCS) when she was still in high school. Over the last eight years, she has been a faithful volunteer who donates time every day to NMCS’s kindergarten classroom. Her warmth and compassion, her dedication and commitment to NMCS have given many kindergartners a wonderful beginning to their school experience.
