Community Shares' December heroes work for the visually impaired, protect the right to vote
Community Shares, a partner of Madison Commons, recognizes two volunteers each month. The volunteers come from Community Shares' member groups and are selected for their service to the community and to community issues.
Margaret Sommers, Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired
Margaret Sommers’s commitment to making a difference led her to join the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired as a volunteer in 2010. She assists with mailings and lends her voice to recording monthly e-newsletters for individuals who have vision loss, their families, and professionals who serve them.
