






Community Shares, a partner of Madison Commons, recognizes two volunteers each month. The volunteers come from Community Shares' member groups and are selected for their service to the community and to community issues.

Margaret Sommers’s commitment to making a difference led her to join the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired as a volunteer in 2010. She assists with mailings and lends her voice to recording monthly e-newsletters for individuals who have vision loss, their families, and professionals who serve them.

With over 40 years of involvement with the League of Women Voters, Pamela Rewey truly demonstrates what it means to step up. She has served as President of the Stevens Point and Dane County Leagues and is currently on the board of the state League, where she serves as the Voter Services Chair and Chair of the state Legislative Committee.
