Community Shares' February Heroes protect tenants' rights, help Clean Wisconsin find funding
Community Shares, a partner of Madison Commons, recognizes two volunteers each month. The volunteers come from Community Shares' member groups and are selected for their service to the community and to community issues.
Colin Gillis, Tenant Resource Center
Colin Gillis is an activist and educator with a passion for social justice, particularly around housing, labor, and racial justice issues. As the Tenant Resource Center's Board President, Colin models collaborative and transparent leadership, while also making time to serve as a Housing Counselor. Colin is especially concerned with the way people connect with institutions.
