Monika Blazs has been a volunteer photographer for Wisconsin Wetlands Association (WWA) since 2009. She recently began photo-documenting the wetlands of the Penokee Hills in Northern Wisconsin, the site of what could be the largest open-pit iron-ore mine in the world. Her pictures are worth more than a thousand words—and they help WWA promote the beauty and importance of wetlands.
