Community Shares' November heroes engage communities for the Rape Crisis Center and Nuestro Mundo

Community Shares, a partner of Madison Commons, recognizes two volunteers each month. The volunteers come from Community Shares' member groups and are selected for their service to the community and to community issues.

As a volunteer at community outreach events, especially during April’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Chris Eckerman’s warmth and compassion allow diverse communities across Dane County to learn about the Rape Crisis Center’s free, 24 hour services. Her commitment to the RCC’s mission also extends to providing essential office support and reception duties.
