Did anyone else find the city of Madison's recent arts survey a bit screwy and lopsided? Lindsay Christians of The Capital Times reports on its findings here. Christians has also busily been racking up reviews of American Players Theatre's ongoing season, and we're planning to have her discus the plays on Arts Extract next week. Christian Newuhaus commented for Dane101 on the arts survey as well here.
Isthmus' Aaron R. Conklin places WPR's arts-focused 45 North show in the context of a larger public-radio shakeup. Also, Madison folks, the show has been letting a few audience members in for Friday-morning music performances, including an upcoming one this Friday with Count This Penny; see the show's Facebook page for details.
Coverage about changes at the Regent Street Retreat is worth reading, mostly for the "former Ted Nugent roadie" angle.
