While the outdoor season for Madison Farmers Markets is coming to a close, consumers can still find fresh, Wisconsin-grown produce through late fall and winter at several indoor markets in the Madison area.
If you are looking for fresh fruits and vegetables, organic foods, dairy products, meats, herbs, teas, and nuts, there is a good chance the markets will carry those items and many others.
Here’s a sample of what you can find at three of the markets. The map below includes the locations and details.
Dane County Farmers Market
Beginning in January, the late winter market takes place at the Madison Senior Center and offers a "Taste of the Market" breakfast, featuring vendor products from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. for $7.50. In the meantime the early winter market continues through Dec. 22. It boasts personally constructed crafts and gifts from several vendors, and it is the only Madison market with such an offering. Other vendors include:
Drifthouse Organics,
Hickery Hill Farm,
Wetherby Cranberry Co.
Eastside Farmers Market
MadWest Winter Farmers Market
Bella Luna Farmhouse Creamery,
Emerald Meadows,
Jordandal Farms,
Primrose Community Farm,
Underground Meats.
