United Way of Dane County will host conference on nonprofit and corporate partnerships

The United Way of Dane County is hosting the “Strategic Collaboration for Community Engagement—Nonprofit and Corporate Partnerships Conference” on Friday, Dec. 8.

The conference aims to educate community members about how partnerships between nonprofits and corporate businesses can be mutually beneficial. For example, companies will learn how to increase employee satisfaction and provide professional development through volunteer opportunities. Nonprofits will learn how to develop volunteer opportunities that draw attention from companies, expand outreach efforts and increase their financial bottom line. 

Business and nonprofit leaders on the keynote panel will share how they have developed successful partnerships. The keynote speakers are:

  • Beth Cutler, Community Relations & Foundation Leader; Director of Enterprise Marketing and Communications at CUNA Mutual Group

  • Michael Johnson, President and CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County

  • Marci Henderson, Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Wisconsin-Badgerland

Following the keynote panel, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in two of the following breakout topics:

  • Incorporating Innovative Service Opportunities into Nonprofit Strategies

  • Designing Mutually Beneficial Experiences/Partnerships for Businesses and Nonprofits

  • Creating Inclusive Service Opportunities

  • Panel Discussion: Building an Effective Corporate Volunteer Program
