I am an undergraduate Journalism and Mass Communications student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I contribute to the Education section of Madison Commons and have been a part of the MC reporting team since February of 2011.
If I have ever had to interview you, I do apologize if you couldn't hear me or if you felt that I was yelling at you. I have yet to find the balance between speaking too soft, which I often do, and speaking just loud enough. (here's where I usually put a smiley face emoticon, but since we don't have any...you get the picture)
I am not above any story, so feel free to contact me via e-mail (msvang02@gmail.com) with leads or by posting a comment on my stories. I'd love to have a conversation with you about anything I write. The only expectation I have from everyone I met is basic human respect.
If I could have one wish, I would wish to know every single language in the world. (this wasn't my idea originally, but I loved it)

Welcome to the Madison Commons, a website designed to provide news and information about all of Madison's neighborhoods and a crossroads for the discussion of community issues. The name comes from the idea of a village commons, a place for news, talk, debate, and some entertainment, too, that's open to everyone.
