Bike to Work Week begins
At 8:30 a.m. bicyclists were stopping for free coffee and coffee cake from Union Cab along the John Nolen bike trail. With a few minutes of extra time, bicyclists could also have their brakes tightened and chain lubed by Williamson Bicycle Works for free. These are the perks of participating in Bike to Work Week.
Bike to Work Week events are happening all week, May 13-17, all over Madison. Morning bike commuters coming from the east, west, southwest, or downtown can pick up free coffee, free food, and free bike tune-ups every morning from 7:15-9 a.m. There are also opportunities for free yoga and, on Friday, a celebration of the event that offers free beer and free snacks.
To participate in Bike to Work Week, all you need to do is ride a bicycle. No sign up is necessary. For more information about the event, see Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin's itinerary.
