Summary of Madison School Board endorsements for April 2 election



UPDATE: On Tuesday, April 9, Wayne Strong conceded the final school board race to Dean Loumos. 

UPDATE: TJ Mertz won the race for seat 5 and incumbent James Howard won the race for seat 4. The seat 3 race between Dean Loumos and Wayne Strong was too close to call.

The races for three School Board seats will be decided this Tuesday, April 2, and all five candidates have received endorsements in the months leading up to it.

Dean Loumos and Wayne Strong are competing for seat 3. Greg Packnett is running against current School Board President James Howard for seat 4. Finally, TJ Mertz is the sole contender for seat 5, though his former competitor, Sarah Manski, who dropped out of the race after the primary, will still appear on the ballot.
